Welcome to the Blue Water Miniature Horse Club

Hello and welcome to the BWMHC. We are delighted that you stopped by! Our club is based in Michigan and we typically have over 100 members throughout the U.S. and Canada. The club was founded in the late 1980's and has grown along with the enormous popularity of the breed.

The Blue Water Miniature Horse Club was created for the purpose of promoting knowledge and awareness of the miniature horse; to network and expand activities by creating avenues for showing, driving, harness racing, and promoting futurities, parades, clinics, gelding incentive programs; to earn high point awards in an atmosphere of camaraderie, fun and enjoyment for all who love miniature horses. Miniature horse ownership is not required to become a member of the BWMHC.

The BWMHC meetings are generally held on the third Saturday of the month at noon in October, November, January, and February. Due to the holidays, there is no December meeting.  Meetings normally begin at noon, and are currently held at Tietz's Restaurant in Imlay City, MI.

The club puts on 2-3 club and/or fun shows a year and has one double-judged AMHR (American Miniature Horse Registry) approved show during the summer. The Club also sponsors clinics devoted to the care and training of miniature horses.
