IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

Mail registration, waiver of release form, copy of negative coggins test and

Entries open April 1, 2007. Entries close and MUST be received by:
June 1, 2007 for the June 10 show
July 8, 2007 for the July 15 show
August 5, 2007 for the August 12 show
Entries received after the closing date will be assessed an additional $10.00
late fee per horse.
- NEGATIVE COGGINS - We will be
following the State of Michigan requirements for a negative coggins
test. A copy of a negative coggins dated within 6 months for each horse
MUST accompany this registration form. It is mandatory that you have a copy
of each horse's coggins upon entering the show grounds; you must present a
copy of each horse's negative coggins to the show manager BEFORE you unload
your horses. Stall assignments will not be made for horses with entries that
do not include a copy of a current negative coggins. Nursing babies up to
six months do not have to have a coggins test.
- Cross entries - There will be NO cross entries between the Country
Pleasure and Open Pleasure driving classes.
- Youth Exhibitors - Youth exhibitor's age will be determined as of
January 1st, 2007. Youth 13-17 may show senior stallions (3 year or older)
in open performance classes. Youth cannot show stallions in youth classes.
- Roadster - If you plan to enter the Roadster class, we suggest that
you have your cart ready for that class before arrival. This class is the
first driving class of the day, and time has been designated for you to
refit your cart for regular driving classes. Silks are not required. The
cart MUST have wheel guards, or it will be disqualified.
- Horses will not be measured. Horse sizes: Up to 34" for A division.
Over 34" - 38" for B division.
- There is NO showing out of the trailer.
- One horse per stall unless it's mare and foal.
- You must clean your stall before leaving or the following penalties WILL
apply:
· You will be assessed a $15.00 fine per stall.
· All points earned at the show will be rescinded.
· You will not be allowed to participate in future BWMHC Club shows
- The release of liability form and a copy of the horse's current (within 6
months) coggins test MUST accompany the registration form.
- If an adult drives with a youth and touches either the reins or the whip
while being judged, the youth/horse are disqualified.
- Shavings WILL NOT be available at any of the show grounds.
- Lunch will be "on your own" at each show. A food tent is
available at Blue Moon Miniatures.
- Gates will open at 6 a.m. the morning of the show. There will be NO
showing out of a trailer.
- For safety purposes, classes may be split by decision of the Judge
or the Show Manager
- Classes will not be combined
- 6 ribbons will be awarded in each class
- Jumping courses will consist of 6 - 8 fences and may include any or all of
the following: Liverpool, Roll-top, Chicken Coop, Panel, Vertical, Brush
Box, Post and Rail.
- Obstacle driving and In-hand Trail classes may include: water, rein-back,
ground tie, "wooden bridge", and cone serpentine
- Please note: These classes are meant to safely challenge the horse and
handler, not frighten or threaten them. Obstacles found in nature and
everyday life will be utilized.
